Autumn Oak Speech, Voice and Hearing was founded in 2011 by Dr. Michelle Saltarrelli, AuD, CCC, A/SLP — one of fewer than 0.3% of clinicians nationwide who hold dual certifications in both speech pathology and audiology, and the only neuroaudiologist in South Texas. From two dedicated Friendswood, TX offices, our 20-member team delivers comprehensive hearing and speech care for children, adults, and seniors across the Greater South Houston area.

Dr. Michelle Saltarrelli, AuD, CCC, A/SLP
Neuroaudiologist & Speech Language Pathologist / OwnerDr. Michelle Saltarrelli is a Pearland resident and Friendswood, TX-based dual certified audiologist and speech-language pathologist — among the 0.3% nationwide who have achieved dual certification. With over 20 years in speech and hearing healthcare, she specializes in vestibular disorders (vertigo) and the cognitive decline and fall risk associated with adult onset sensorineural hearing loss.
She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Louisiana Tech University and completed her residency at Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center and at Houston Ear Research Foundation (HERF). Dr. Saltarrelli pursued additional certifications in Vestibular Rehabilitation, V-Stim, orofacial myology, and Lee Silverman Voice Therapy.
Over the decades, her career has evolved as a consultant teaching audiologists in the U.S. and U.K., adjunct professor, researcher, patient and disabilities advocate, medical insurance reviewer, and national speaker. Outside of her profession, she and her husband enjoy Bible study with friends and supporting their five sons in college, sports, and band events.
Dr. Rachel Bringewatt, AuD, ABA-C
AudiologistDr. Rachel Bringewatt grew up in the Midwest and earned her Master's in Audiology from Wichita State University in 2004. She began her clinical career with a fellowship at Texas ENT and subsequently worked in Otolaryngology clinics in Houston. While practicing, she completed her Doctor of Audiology from Salus University in 2010 and holds certification from the American Board of Audiology.
Dr. Bringewatt spent 13 years practicing in Omaha, NE, before returning to the Gulf Coast. With over 21 years of experience, her career spans balance disorder clinics, educational audiology, private Otolaryngology management, and work with a major hearing aid manufacturer. She has a special interest in hearing conservation for musicians and is a Gold Circle-trained audiologist with Sensaphonics.
Her love of the ocean brought her back to the Gulf Coast and the beautiful Bay Area. Dr. Bringewatt has three adult children and enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and yoga. Her favorite sound? The calming rhythm of waves crashing on the shore.
Sheri
Chief Administrator (Audiology Clinic)Sheri was born in Denton, Texas and moved to Lake Jackson when she was 5 years old. She is a graduate of Brazoswood High School and attended college in Huntsville at Sam Houston State University. She has been married for 27 years to her husband, and they have two kids, 25 and 22 years old. They moved to Pearland in 1998 and consider Pearland home.
Sheri enjoys reading, puzzles, traveling, hiking, cruising, and the great outdoors. She has visited beautiful places around the world like Bolivia, Greece, Rome, and closer to home Alaska, Yosemite, and Maine.
She started working at Autumn Oak in 2013. "I am the chief administrator in the hearing clinic. I absolutely love my job and the people I work with. I enjoy getting to know each of our patients and seeing the improvements in their quality of life that we help provide them with."
Jennifer
Executive Office Administrator (Audiology Clinic)Jennifer was born in Louisiana and moved to Texas when she was five. She spent her youth just down the road in Alvin, TX. After High School she attended Sam Houston State University and once done with school, she moved to Seattle, WA, where she spent three years enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
She currently lives in Pearland with her husband and two boys. In her spare time she loves to read, travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
Jennifer started working at Autumn Oak on opening day in 2012 and couldn't imagine working anywhere else. "It is a wonderful thing to be involved in a practice that is helping people live independent lives. Our patients, and our staff, are amazing."
Abigail (Abbey)
Audiology & Vestibular TechnicianAbbey was raised in Webster, TX. She enjoys cooking, drawing, and spending time with her two adorable dogs. She has always enjoyed art and music, whether it's appreciation or creating it herself.

Allison
Audiology Technician, Patient Care CoordinatorAllison is a native Houstonian who is passionate about hospitality and interpersonal communication. She is a mother to two beautiful children, a 5-year-old daughter and an 8-month-old son. The oldest of 4 siblings and the aunt to two nephews, in her free time she enjoys spending time with her big family and friends.
She has been a member at First United Methodist Church for a year and loves sharing the love and joy of Jesus with her children and the community. As an avid reader, she has read many books in her life and is sharing that love with her kids.

Elizabeth
Lead Speech Language PathologistElizabeth grew up in central Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science in 2006 and her master's in Speech Pathology in 2008. Elizabeth has 15 years of experience working in school settings with students of all ages.
Her core belief is that communication and literacy are fundamental rights. She strives to provide services that make both communication and literacy accessible to everyone. Elizabeth resides in Kemah with her husband and son. When she is not at the clinic, you can find her with her family on a game night or being a martial arts mom.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys running, reading good books, and checking out local coffee shops. "Autumn Oak offers me an incredible opportunity to collaborate with other amazing speech language pathologists. It also gives me a chance to work with and learn from the patients I serve and their families."
Megan
Lead Speech Language PathologistMegan lives in Texas City with her husband, two beautiful children, three dogs, her tortoise Laylen, and her daughter's bearded dragon. Megan was born and raised in Friendswood, graduated from Friendswood High School in 2009, and signed a full-ride volleyball scholarship to Eastern New Mexico University, where she received her Master of Science in Communicative Disorders in 2015.
Megan has experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in public school systems, private practice, and aquatic/hippotherapy. Her passion is to help her patients better themselves and become more confident in their communication, no matter the mode of communication.
Disability inclusion and representation in children's books is a priority for Megan. She is working toward expanding the diversity of book characters for children with disabilities through her book series "Mission: Inclusion."
Caitlyn
Speech Language PathologistCaitlyn grew up in Kansas, but she has called the Galveston/Houston area home for the past 12 years. She holds a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston and her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds certifications in LSVT-LOUD voice therapy and Vital Stim.
Initially, Caitlyn worked as a graphic designer, but a transformative year in Italy teaching English as a nanny ignited her passion for helping others communicate. This experience led her to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, where she dedicates herself to helping patients of all ages achieve their full potential.
Outside of the clinic, Caitlyn enjoys quality time with her husband and their energetic toddler. She loves camping, crafting, reading, and music, and finds endless amusement in her daughter's playful antics and the hilarious things she says.
Emily
Speech Language PathologistEmily was born and raised in Dubai and migrated to Florida in 2020. She currently lives with her husband in Houston, TX. Emily received her bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing from All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, and her Master of Science at Dr. S.R. Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing, Bangalore in 2019.
She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a member of the Texas Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (TSHA). Over the last 6 years, Emily has worked across public schools and private clinics with both adult and pediatric populations.

Emily
Speech Language Pathologist AssistantEmily was born in Arkansas but moved to Texas in 2011. She currently resides in Santa Fe, TX. Emily graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She worked as a school-based SLP-Assistant before starting with Autumn Oak.
Initially, Emily worked as a certified vet assistant, but later realized it was not her true passion. Her aunt inspired her to pursue speech therapy before she enrolled at Stephen F. Austin. After her first course, Emily knew providing speech services to those in need would be her career. She strives to better her patients' communication skills and help grow confident voices.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and her orange tabby cat, Hash Brown. She loves to crochet and read in her free time as well.
Elisabeth
Clinical Fellow – Speech Language PathologistElisabeth, CF-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist from Houston, Texas, currently completing her clinical fellowship. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston and her master's degree in Communication Disorders from Texas State University.
Elisabeth chose this career path out of a passion for helping children find their voice and connect with the world around them. Outside of work, Elisabeth enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new restaurants, trying out recipes, and attending live music events.
Alexandra
Clinical Fellow – Speech Language PathologistAlexandra, CF-SLP, was born in Honduras but moved to Houston at a young age. She completed her undergraduate studies at Lamar University, earning her bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and earned her master's in Communication Disorders from Texas State University.
Alexandra is driven by a desire to help individuals and their families find their voice and thrive in their communities. In her free time, she finds joy in connecting with loved ones, exploring the city, and discovering new restaurants.
Jenna
Clinical Fellow – Speech Language PathologistJenna, CF-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, currently completing her clinical fellowship. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Linguistics from Tulane University and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.
Jenna is passionate about working with children to support the development of their communication skills. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing with her puppy.
Michele
Patient Accounts Manager (Speech Clinic)Michele was born in Pasadena, Texas and moved to the Pearland area about ten years ago. She is married to her amazing husband and is the mother to one eighteen-year-old son. She also has two husky girls, Lola and Blew, that love to talk.
When Michele is not at work, she often spends time with her family watching sports or heading to a casino.
Michele started working at Autumn Oak in May 2021. "My heart is always with the patients and being able to help them get the services they need is very rewarding. I have worked in various fields of healthcare for the past 13 years, so I have a lot of experience helping others."
Mackenzie
Lead Office Administrator (Speech Clinic)Mackenzie was born and raised in the League City, TX area. She has always had a passion for helping people and animals. Some of her hobbies are traveling, shopping, volunteering, reading, and spending time with her boyfriend and their pets.

Office Administrator, Patient Care CoordinatorMadison lives in League City with her husband and two cats. While not at work, she enjoys shopping with her sister, Mackenzie, lazy days at home, and doing anything crafty.

Office Administrator, Digital Marketing AssistantAuburn was born in Birmingham, Alabama and moved to the Houston Area as a kid, where she's called home ever since. Her drive to help people led her to graduate from the University of Houston in 2023 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Health.
In her free time, Auburn enjoys learning new songs on the cello, playing video games with her siblings, and spending time with her cat, Pickles.

Office AdministratorNina was born in Pasadena, TX and spent part of her childhood in the countryside of Normangee, TX with her family, though she knew from an early age she was a city girl at heart. Today, she happily calls League City home.
She's an animal lover and proud owner of three beautiful cats. Her passions include digital art, makeup, and getting lost in a good book.
Vilma
Marketing ManagerBorn and raised in Houston, Vilma earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston. During her senior-year clinicals, she had the opportunity to observe Dr. Michelle Saltarrelli.
She began her professional journey at Autumn Oak as an Office Administrator in 2017 and transitioned to a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant role in 2018. In 2024, she welcomed her son into the world and returned in her current role as Marketing Manager.
